Great News!
We had almost given up finding more Sokokes in the forest. The last several times the local natives had gone into the forest attempting to locate more, they'd come up empty and no more were coming for the free fish dinners. So, for several years there were no new Sokokes found, or even seen, in the forest. But early in 2002 news came of 8 new Sokokes that had been found. (They had actually been found early in 2001 and were intended for a movie that didn't happen. Since they were not all found together, the assumption is that most are not related. There were 6 males and 2 females.
